In the US state of Missouri a man has been injured by police rubber bullets as protests over the August 9 killing of an unarmed black teenager continue unabated.
The young man was reportedly attempting to speak to the press in Ferguson when the cops moved in and shot him in the face in a scuffle. Police have been using heavy-handed tactics to quell the demonstrations. The incident came as protesters hit the streets of Ferguson on Wednesday night to demand an immediate arrest and prosecution of the officer that shot and killed unarmed teen Michael Brown. The officer has been on administrative leave with pay since the fatal shooting of the18-year-old boy. A similar rally was held in the nearby city of Clayton. Meanwhile, the US attorney general has met with Michael’s parents and Ferguson community leaders. He vowed a full, fair and independent civil rights probe into the incident.
